Leveraging Your Personal Brand into a Profit Online
Research shows us that branded individuals generate increased worth or value for themselves, maximize their employability and increase their lifetime earning potential. During this 30 minute course participants will learn how to identify their personal brand and use it to make money through online platforms.
Intersectionality holds that the classical conceptualizations of oppression within society do not act independently of each other. Instead, these forms of oppression interrelate, creating a system of oppression that reflects the "intersection" of multiple forms of discrimination. Oppression such as sexism, classism, racism, colorism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia and belief-based bigotry.
Join the Thursday Network as Dr. Waller and other experts examine both power and oppression, how we identify our power and oppression and use it to rewrite societal perception. Join us to discuss intersectionality and how can we better support and empower each other and other marginalized groups within this system.

The Young Women of Achievement (YWA) Awards are the WIN’s annual celebration of highly talented up-and-coming young women leaders making a difference in our community.
Waller & Company is sponsoring the organization by raffling 2 free personal branding sessions.
DC Seven Sisters Clubs (Barnard, Bryn Mawr, Mount Holyoke, Vassar, and Wellesley), have partnered with a local organization, Support the Girls, to host A Galentine’s Drive, a charity drive taking place Wednesday, February 15 (5 - 8 PM), at District Distilling Co.
They will be collecting donations of bras and feminine hygiene products for homeless women and girls in our community. Many homeless women and girls are often victims of domestic violence, fleeing horrific situations with little more than the clothes on their backs. They certainly don’t have time to pack extra bras and hygiene products, yet these items aren't always available at shelters as they are rarely donated (despite the high demand). Items collected from their drive will be donated to New Endeavors by Women.
Waller & Company is one of the several local and notable businesses supporting their event. For those attendees who provide a contribution to the drive (material or monetary), they will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a free personal branding assessment.
A collaboration between Thursday Network’s Professional and Personal Development (PPD), Membership, and Civic Engagement committees, this vigorous General Body Meeting will feature workplace experts, live demos, tips from stylist, and career success conversations focused on YOUR BRAND for 2017!

In today’s global economy and complex business environment, the role of an entrepreneur has evolved to become more transparent, social, connected, and accessible than ever before. Now, entrepreneurs of all industries are affected by how their personal brand is perceived online. As a result, personal branding can influence what decisions are made and who gets to make them. Thus, strategic, consistent and effective personal brand management is becoming increasingly critical to the success of an entrepreneur.
Dr. Talaya Waller will lead a two part, hands-on training opportunity for entrepreneurs who want to learn how to build, promote, and manage their personal brand.

- Grow your business and build an audience through brand awareness campaigns
- Be true and consistent to your brand
PART 2: POSITIONING YOURSELF FOR SUCCESS (5:00pm - 6:00pm)
While branding is the process of trying to influence the perception of various audiences, positioning is the process of packaging yourself for a specific target market and determining how you want to define yourself relative to the competition in a specific market. In this workshop participants will learn how to research their competition, and develop a positioning strategy for their personal brand.
In this workshop, you will learn how to:

- Identify your biggest competition
- Determine what you can offer that none of your competitors can match
